Burn More Fat, Have More Sex.

Why the title? Because it’s my blog, and I can write whatever I want. Including fragments as sentences that I will not (consider revising).

It’s vitally important to remember you are in control of your life, and the decisions that you do or don’t make each day. Regardless of whether or not you actually make a conscious decision to do something, or make no decision at all, guess what? You just did. If the previous two sentences were at all confusing, let me explain it again in slightly more detail.

When you make a decision to do something, it is quite obvious; but when someone decides not to make a decision and leaves the choice unattended to, they have in all reality made a decision, even while it feels as though no decision was made. It’s much less obvious that a resolution has occurred, albeit possibly a temporary one, when no decision to do something has been made.

So, whether it’s fear or a variety of other reasons holding you back from making a decision, make the right one, by making a decision

  1. While I agree that not making a decision is in essence making a decision to not make a decision, and perhaps to choose a particular path of (in)action, I also think that it is important to take the necessary time to think and pray about decisions before they are made. In other words, I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad thing to hold off on making decisions, especially if it means we prevent making a rash decision for the sake of simply doing something. As you suggest, though, too often we are caught idly sitting by, making the decision to do nothing(=something).
